The CT16000 Coastal Surveillance System is a rugged coastal target acquisition system that uses thermal imaging,
visual optics and a laser range-finder to locate ships and vessels from the shoreline.
The system calculates the vessel position using measured angular offsets and range from its own position. This may be
provided in terms of a grid reference, or latitude and longitude. The thermal imager enables detection of targets at long
range in darkness and poor weather conditions. The CTI6000 may also be integrated with local radar to verify vessel
type, and where possible, identification markings.
The CTI6000 is simple to use and easy to install. The system is ideally suited to applications that require high reliability
and good 24-hour capability. The directable platform has proven accuracy and reliability.
The system uses both precision mechanics and advanced software to align the optical axes of the various detectors.
This ensures that vessels are located accurately by day and night.
A range of thermal and visual optic options is available for the CT16000 system.
