The DCC3000 Long Range Surveillance Camera is a very high performance dual channel changeover camera that uses a
high resolution colour detector for surveillance tasks in daylight and a cooled solid-state low light level camera at night.
It has a very long focal length high-resolution lens. The optics provide 25:1 zoom ratio which is well suited to urban and
border protection roles where the area of interest can be acquired in context and then zoomed into with high
magnification. In general the camera would be mounted at height, on a building or mast, and has been designed to
operate alongside military communications equipment.
The use of a dual sensor significantly extends the operating capabilities of the camera making it ideal for 24-hour
surveillance roles. The solid state low light level camera has similar sensitivity to an intensified camera but is capable
of operating with bright lights in the scene.
