The DCM1200 Medium Range Surveillance Camera offers very high performance with wide bandwidth zoom. The
camera uses a dual colour, monochrome sensor to provide high-resolution imagery and is primarily intended for human
identification at up to four km, providing high-contrast high-clarity imagery.The lens uses special coatings to extend its performance from the visible into the near IR.
The DCM1200 camera uses a zoom lens with a maximum focal length of 1200mm and provides 24-hour coverage in
urban locations. Its high definition, custom-designed optics offer outstanding levels of clarity and depth of contrast
even when operating in the near IR. The camera is therefore suitable for natural IR as well as active sources. The
colour performance is equally impressive, enhanced by the use of a special filter.
The camera is ideally suited
to border surveillance roles as well as military intelligence activities. It may also be used in mobile or transportable
applications to give long-range capability for rapid deployment forces.
