The HRD700 High Resolution Platform is designed for external use in harsh environments, where very long focal
length lenses are being used. It has a long service life even when installed on masts and is equally capable in low
temperatures as it is in desert border surveillance applications.
The servo control system is specifically tuned to enable
very precise positioning with payloads up to 100kg. The platform uses a fully programmable PID filter to enable precise
damping for different payloads.
The HRD700 has a long track record of dependable precision positioning. For an application requiring focal lengths
between 2000mm and 10000mm, the HRD700 is one of few platforms capable of steering the optics to the accuracy
required. The platform supports full manual proportional control as well as vectored and absolute positioning.
Two 32-bit processors forward calculate the acceleration and deceleration profiles required to execute the move and
minimise the loadings on the payload. The control system automatically compensates for icing and external loading.
