The LIC400M Starlight Surveillance Camera is designed for applications that require medium range surveillance down to starlight. It uses a very fast catadioptric lens coupled to a gated intensified CCD detector, and carbon fibre components to minimise weight. Subject to export restrictions either Gen II or Gen III gated intensifiers may be specified.

The LIC400M is ideal for applications where active illumination is not possible and where detailed target recognition precludes the use of a thermal imager.

The LIC400M is spectrally corrected for use with advanced IR illuminators and significantly minimises the IR power levels required in these roles. The recognition range is considerably extended compared to that of NVGs in similar illumination levels, typically by a factor of 10.
The advanced gating system allows the camera to be used in full daylight if necessary. The CCD is directly bonded to the intensifier for optimum sensitivity.
