The Osprey electro-optic platform and control system provides reconnaissance, surveillance and target acquisition
capabilities for a variety of wheeled and tracked vehicles using high-performance, field-proven technology. Osprey was
designed with flexibility in mind to maximise existing vehicle architecture whilst also allowing customer sensor selection
to suit specific mission objectives.
Osprey is designed to enable the integration of existing inventory of hand-held Thermal Imagers into the vehicle mounted
system, reducing operating costs. The system permits the imager to be removed and used in its dismounted
role or tripod-mounted away from the vehicle (option).
The Osprey can be physically mounted on the vehicle either directly to the roof or on a deployable mast. An optional
tripod-mounted version can also be provided to allow for remote operation from the vehicle.
The innovative design of the Osprey ensures access to new and important applications such as protected personnel
transportation and improved situational awareness for high-mobility vehicles offering an essential improvement in
protection and capability within the ever-changing asymmetric battlefield
